When the fighting spirit of floor curling steps onto the cultural stage, and the passion of Paralympic athletes turns into Cantonese singing, at the Sign Language Song Gala on September 27, 2025, the floor curling Paralympic athletes from Hong Kong Roadways Association interpreted the meaning of "living up to passion and moving forward fearlessly" in a unique way. As a partner of Hong Kong's local charitable forces, Yijia International Foundation is honored to support these respectable athletes in this event, witnessing them move from the field of the floor curling event at the 12th National Paralympic Games and 9th Special Olympics held in Guangzhou in September to the stage of the Sign Language Song Gala. They have always shown a bold and determined attitude, shining brilliantly as part of the disabled community and injecting new vitality into the Paralympic spirit.

At the floor curling event of the 12th National Paralympic Games and 9th Special Olympics held in Guangzhou in September, the Paralympic athletes from Hong Kong Roadways Association left no regrets, sweating profusely on the field. As the athlete representative said in a media interview before the Sign Language Song Gala: "Participating in the competition in Guangzhou, what impressed me most was the team spirit of teams from all over the country—athletes from every province and city are excellent, and just like this event, the power of unity can be seen everywhere." On the field, they competed in skills and exchanged tactics with strong teams from across the country; after the competition, they became friends with athletes from other regions, gaining new knowledge through enthusiastic communication: "From them, we not only learned technical details but also how to overcome challenges with the strength of the team." This precious gain from the field laid a solid foundation for them to step onto the stage and pass on their spirit.

Singing on the Stage: Expressing a Journey of Original Aspiration with "Friends" as the Voice
From the field to the stage, the scene changed, but their passion remained unchanged. At this Sign Language Song Gala, the athletes brought the classic Cantonese song Friends, using their singing to tell the story of cross-regional friendships formed during the competition and to convey their dedication to sports dreams and love for life. For them, this was more than just a simple performance—it was a way to extend the team spirit from the field to the stage, and to let more people see the possibility that the disabled community "can shine in diverse ways beyond sports competitions". There were no fancy decorations, only sincere emotions; every line of the lyrics carried their courage to overcome physical limitations, and every moment interpreted the idea that "disability is never an obstacle, but another way for life to bloom".
